Rapid prototyping with 3D printing

Check your idea with a real part in your hand before you pay for moulds or production. Upload your CAD model, see the price instantly and get the prototype in days.

What rapid prototyping solves

A wrong dimension found after a mould is made is expensive. A 3D printed prototype shows it in days, for a fraction of the cost — which is why engineers, designers and start-ups prototype before they produce.

  • Form and ergonomics — how it feels in the hand, how it looks at real size.
  • Fit and assembly — do the parts go together, do holes and pins line up.
  • Functional testing — behaviour under load, when fastened, when moving.
  • Presentation — a physical model for a client, investor or team.

How it goes

  1. Export the model from your CAD tool as STL or 3MF.
  2. Upload it to the calculator — price and print time appear instantly.
  3. Pick a material and order. For several versions, upload all files at once.
  4. Test, adjust the model and order the next iteration.

From prototype to small batch

Once the design is final, the same file can be printed as a batch — 10 to 1000+ pieces, no moulds. The more pieces, the lower the price per piece.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can you make a prototype?

Orders go into production within 24 hours of confirmation, and there is a same-day option for urgent projects. The print time itself is in your quote.

Which material should I pick for a prototype?

For checking shape and size — PLA. For a prototype that will be tested under load — PETG. For enclosures that will sit near heat — ABS or ASA.

How accurate is a 3D printed prototype?

FDM printing is accurate enough to check fit and assembly for most parts. For very tight tolerances, tell us up front and we will tune the print and orientation.

Can I order several versions of one prototype?

Yes — that is the most common case. Upload all versions at once and you will see the price of each.

Which files do you need?

STL or 3MF for an instant price. From CAD tools (Fusion, SolidWorks, FreeCAD, Onshape) export to STL. For STEP and other formats, write to us.
